Cracking Up! – The Banksy Portrait
CRACKING UP – LAYERING A BACKGROUND
Continuing from the last post the background needed to feel like a weathered painted white surface. I’ve chosen a great technique that uses a mix of wet PVA glue and acrylic paint. Back in the day it was used to produce distressed looking furniture. The natural looking cracks it creates will help give an aged effect, making it ready for a bit of graffiti. I’ve left the area on the right untouched and will clean it up by adding a layer or two of white.
